Gutter Guards in Eden Prairie, MN
We carry and install Leaf Sentry, Bulldog Gutter Guard, Leaf Blaster, and XTREME Gutter Guards, sized and pitched for the tree cover and roofline you actually have.
What’s included
We carry and install four gutter guard systems: Leaf Sentry, Bulldog Gutter Guard, Leaf Blaster, and XTREME Gutter Guards. Which one makes sense for your home depends on your tree cover, your roof pitch, and how much you want to spend, not a single default we push on everyone.
- Guard selection matched to your tree cover, from light seasonal drop to heavy year-round canopy
- Correct pitch and fastening for your specific roofline, not a standard angle off a chart
- Proper mounting that doesn’t compromise the shingle edge above it
- Extra sizing at valley sections where volume is higher than a straight run
- An honest read on which system fits, including when a cheaper option is genuinely fine
What usually goes wrong
Most gutter guard complaints trace back to a few real patterns. Water sheeting over the top edge during a hard storm usually means a valley section is receiving more volume than the guard in that spot was sized for. We see this most on the steep, multi-valley rooflines common in Bearpath and Settlers Ridge, where a guard cut to a standard width just can’t keep up with what one valley is funneling into it. A different cause is a fine mesh surface that’s built up a film of pollen, tree sap, and shingle grit over a few seasons and started shedding water across the top instead of letting it through, more common under the heavier tree canopy near Bryant Lake and the older, mature-canopy lots toward Northeast Eden Prairie. None of that means the guard has failed. It means it needs resizing at that section or a cleaning pass.
A separate issue is guards that sag or cave into the trough. That’s usually cheap fasteners or a frame that wasn’t built for real snow load, not the mesh itself. A guard that’s properly fastened for Minnesota winters shouldn’t need that kind of attention for years.
There’s also a marketing claim worth addressing directly: “maintenance-free.” No guard is fully maintenance-free. Fine mesh systems cut debris down dramatically, but they still need an occasional check and clean as organic film builds up. We’d rather tell you that upfront than have you find out on your own after buying into a claim that oversold it.
Winter and ice
Ice on a gutter guard behaves differently than ice on an open gutter. It builds along the cold metal edge and can hang heavy over a walkway below, and if the trough underneath is also frozen and blocked, that combined weight is what eventually pulls a gutter section away from the fascia over a hard winter. We fasten guards to handle real snow and ice load, not just a dry-season install.
What affects the cost
Which guard system you choose, total roofline length, how many valley sections need extra sizing, and whether we’re installing guards on new gutters or retrofitting an existing system.
Why homeowners choose us for this
We carry name-brand systems and tell you honestly which one fits your home, not just the one with the best margin. If a mid-range guard genuinely handles your tree cover, we’ll say so instead of upselling the top-tier option you don’t need.

Questions we hear a lot
Why is water shooting over the top of my gutter guards during a storm?
Usually one of two things: the guard is pitched or sized wrong for a valley section handling more volume than a straight run, or fine debris has built up on the mesh surface and water is sheeting across the top instead of passing through. We check both before recommending a fix.
Do gutter guards eliminate the need for cleaning?
No, and we won't tell you they do. They cut down on debris significantly, especially fine mesh systems, but pollen, tree sap, and shingle grit still build a film on the surface over a few seasons that needs an occasional cleaning pass.
What's that growing on top of my gutter guards?
Small plants, moss, or algae rooting in a layer of trapped organic debris on the mesh surface. It's a sign the guard is due for a cleaning, not a sign it's failed.
Are icicles on gutter guards a problem?
They can be. Heavy ice built up along a cold guard edge adds real weight, and combined with a frozen, blocked trough underneath, that weight is what pulls gutters away from the fascia over a hard winter.
Which gutter guard brands do you carry?
Leaf Sentry, Bulldog Gutter Guard, Leaf Blaster, and XTREME Gutter Guards. Which one makes sense depends on your tree cover, roof pitch, and budget, and we'll tell you honestly which fits.
What customers say
Big Mike understood what we needed right away. His crew came out and installed over 60 feet of new gutter around our porch and came up with a superior drain spout design, better than what was originally planned for! The work was done quickly and efficiently by this experienced crew, and the price was reasonable as quoted. Would call again.
Max Tite
Three crew members came and did a fantastic job. We requested some detailed work, and every request was accepted. They found a way to satisfy us. They did an excellent job! I would definitely hire them again for any gutter work.
Kyoko French
Super easy to work with. The gutters look great and they had lots of good color options. They were very professional – did what they said when they said and the price was in line or lower than others we had quote. We are very happy we went with them.
