Gutter Installation in Eden Prairie, MN

We measure your roof in person and fabricate one-piece gutters on site, sized for the water your specific roofline actually sheds.

What’s Included

A gutter installation starts with us walking the roofline in person, not measuring off a satellite photo. We look at how many roof planes drain into each section, where the valleys concentrate water, and whether the current downspout placement actually clears the foundation. Then we fabricate one-piece, custom-formed gutters on site rather than joining together stock lengths.

That distinction matters more here than in a lot of places. Fewer seams means fewer spots for ice to work loose during a Minnesota freeze-thaw cycle, which is the single biggest cause of gutter failure we see across Eden Prairie. A gutter with a factory seam every ten feet is a gutter with ten feet of extra failure points.

  • Tear-off and disposal of the old system
  • On-site fabrication in 5” or 6” profiles, aluminum, galvalume, or copper
  • Hangers spaced and sized for your roof’s snow load, not a generic spacing chart
  • Downspout count and placement based on where water actually needs to go
  • Gutter guard installation if you want it, from Leaf Sentry, Bulldog, Leaf Blaster, or XTREME systems

How The Job Goes

We start with a free, in-person estimate. If the roofline has valley sections, like a lot of the newer bluff-line homes around Bearpath and Settlers Ridge, we size those sections up rather than running the same width the whole way around. That’s a judgment call, not a guess. A valley where two or three roof planes meet can carry several times the volume of a straight gutter run during a heavy storm, and undersizing it just moves the overflow problem from your gutters to your foundation.

On installation day, the crew removes the old system, checks the fascia underneath for rot before hanging anything new, and fabricates the gutter on site using a portable machine that forms the material to length. Downspouts get placed where the grading actually carries water away, not just at the corners because that’s where they’ve always gone.

Hip roofs and Eden Prairie’s older ramblers

A hip roof doesn’t have gable ends. All four sides slope down to the walls, which means instead of one or two valleys concentrating water, you get a mitered corner at every hip line, usually four or more on a typical rambler. Each of those corners has to be cut and fit by hand rather than run straight off the fabrication machine, and a miter that’s cut a degree or two off gaps at the seam or puckers instead of lying flat.

That’s a different skill than sizing a valley, and it’s one we’ve built up specifically because so much of Eden Prairie’s older housing stock, especially the 1960s and 70s split-entry and rambler homes concentrated toward Northeast Eden Prairie, was built with hip roofs. A loose or poorly cut hip miter is one of the more common failure points we find on a rambler that’s never had its gutters properly replaced, not because the material failed but because the original corner work was rushed.

We cut every hip miter on site to match the actual roof pitch in front of us, not a standard angle off a chart, and we check each corner for a tight, flat seam before moving to the next one.

What Affects The Cost

Roofline length and how many valleys or corners it has, gutter size (5” versus 6”), material choice, the number of downspouts, and whether the fascia underneath needs repair before we can hang anything all factor in. We won’t know a real number until we’ve walked your roof, which is why estimates are free and in person.

Questions we hear a lot

How long does a gutter installation take?

Most homes are done in a single day. Larger, more complex rooflines with multiple valleys can take longer.

What material should I choose?

Aluminum covers most homes well and comes in painted colors to match trim. Galvalume steel handles heavier snow and ice loads. Copper costs more but weathers to a natural look and lasts longest.

Do you remove the old gutters?

Yes, tear-off and disposal of the old system is part of a standard installation.

Do hip roofs need different gutter work than a standard gable roof?

Yes. A hip roof has a mitered corner at every hip line instead of concentrated valleys, so the skill is in cutting a tight, flat miter at each corner rather than sizing one big section. We do this often on Eden Prairie's older ramblers.

What customers say

Big Mike understood what we needed right away. His crew came out and installed over 60 feet of new gutter around our porch and came up with a superior drain spout design, better than what was originally planned for! The work was done quickly and efficiently by this experienced crew, and the price was reasonable as quoted. Would call again.

Max Tite

Three crew members came and did a fantastic job. We requested some detailed work, and every request was accepted. They found a way to satisfy us. They did an excellent job! I would definitely hire them again for any gutter work.

Kyoko French

Super easy to work with. The gutters look great and they had lots of good color options. They were very professional – did what they said when they said and the price was in line or lower than others we had quote. We are very happy we went with them.
